2 DAYS: 60 Minutes plus warm up

We are going to continue our endurance training this weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday’s class will be a 60 minute endurance ride. We ask that you please come to the studio early if you require a personal warm up so that we may begin the 60 minute ride at 8:00am on Saturday and 9:00am on Sunday.

These longer sessions on the bike will train your muscles and your cardiovascular system to ride at a steady pace over a set time period. As you have heard Andrew say before, you can’t win the race in the first 5 minutes, but you can definitely lose it! The first half of the ride may feel easy. Give it time and stay focused, stress will set in. These rides are going to teach us how to deal with that stress.  It is as much mental endurance as it is muscular.

For those of you riding outside this beautiful weekend, be sure to ride safe! Ride with a friend and show off how much stronger and faster you have become by riding with WTIC over the winter months.

P.S: For those of you who haven’t seen this clip, take a look. I bet this rider (Dan McLay) has clocked countless hours of endurance training.  He knows how to pace himself so he has just enough saved to push through at the end.
