We are looking forward to our group ride this Saturday morning!!! It is supposed to be a beautiful day! There is still room for those of you who would like to join us, so take advantage of the beautiful weather and ride with us! Just let us know if your able to make it, if you haven’t done so already, so that we can plan accordingly.
We are going to meet at 8:30am in Dundas at the Municipal Parking Lot on Hatt Street near the fire station (between Miller’s Lane and Ogilvie Street). There is a Starbucks as well as Detour Café at the top of the block if you’d like to grab a coffee before the ride.
Be prepared to ride for approximately 2-2.5 hours. Helmets are mandatory. Ensure you have enough water and food. If you are unsure of what to bring, don’t hesitate to ask. Bananas, orange slices, protein bars/granola bars and nuts are all good options. You WILL need to eat during the ride, so please do not come empty handed.
If anyone has any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. We are excited for the first group ride of the season and hope you can join us!
Ride Safe! TEAM WTIC
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Previous Email – June 20 2016:
The weather this coming weekend is supposed to be perfect riding weather! Lets get outside with a WTIC riding event.
WTIC Members will be meeting in Dundas for 8:30am on Saturday morning (June 25) and heading out at 9:00am for a 40-60km ride. More specific details about the start and end points will be provided later in the week. Currently there is some chatter about starting with a coffee and ending with a beer 🙂
All skill levels welcome. The group will start out together and head towards the rail trail, but for those roadies wishing to stay on the pavement, don’t fret! A group of riders will be breaking away and staying on the streets.
Please let us know if you are interested in participating in Saturday’s ride no later than Wednesday at 5:00pm so that we can plan our routes accordingly. We are looking forward to seeing many of you out at this event and look forward to planning even more throughout the season.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
